On behalf of SJ Collins Enterprises, Metropolis Capital Advisors’ CEO and Managing Director, Cliff Mendelson and Albert Missirlian, announced that they have successfully arranged a $23.4 million construction loan for the development of Daniels Marketplace, a 107,000 square foot Whole Food’s anchored shopping center located in Ft. Myers, Florida. The 45,000-square foot store is Whole Foods’ first location in Fort Myers. The retail project's other mixed-use occupants include Panera Bread, Zoe's Kitchen, Banfield Pet Hospital, Felix Andrews Salon — an Aveda salon, KeKe’s Breakfast Café, Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers, Pet- People, and Venetian Nail Spa.
Located at the northwest intersection of Daniels Parkway and Ben C. Pratt/Six Mile Cypress Parkway in south Fort Myers, the site’s development includes plans to create open space, high-end architecture, native landscaping and a walkable lifestyle environment, ensuring community members have the option of walking or biking to the retail hub. The team will also relocate the existing lake on Daniels Parkway to provide a buffer between the property owners and the retail center. Construction on Daniels Marketplace is slated to begin this spring, with an opening of the retail hub expected in summer 2018.
Metropolis previously worked on behalf of the developer to secure construction financing for Fifth Street Station, a 470,000 square foot Wegman's grocery anchored shopping center located in Charlottesville, Virginia and The Marketplace at Tech Center, a 230,000 square foot Whole Foods anchored shopping center located in Newport News, Virginia.
