A 244-unit apartment complex planned for Canton from WorkShop Development is now in the design stage and could be under construction by the first quarter of 2018.

The eight-story building at 3400 Boston St. will feature market-rate studios, and one- and two-bedroom apartments, WorkShop Development partner Neil Tucker said. Construction should take 22 to 24 months. Amenities will include a fourth floor pool with deck and cabanas, a health club, a recreation room, bike storage and a dog-washing station.
