Pet Valu, a premium pet supplies and accessories retailer, is opening its newest store in Gaithersburg. To celebrate, Pet Valu is welcoming families and their pets to the store this Saturday, March 18 for free samples, goody bags, raffles and prizes, face painting and other kid-friendly entertainment, and refreshments for all (including four–legged attendees!). The event will run from open to close, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday’s grand opening also gives the Gaithersburg community a chance to check out the signature pet products and services Pet Valu is known for, such as its self-serve dog-wash stations (see picture below) where customers are provided all the amenities needed – without having to clean up. Also popular are its lines of adorable toys, gourmet treats, fashionable accessories, cozy furnishings and everyday pet supplies.
As part of Pet Valu’s commitment to the community, each store partners with at least one local animal shelter or group to facilitate pet adoptions and fundraising activities. On Saturday, Pet Valu’s area partners will be at the store with adoptable animals. Chesapeake Area Alaskan Malamute Protection will be at the store from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Montgomery County SPCA will be there from 12 to 3 p.m., and Lizzy’s Lodge Rescue will be there from 3 to 5 p.m.
