Justison Landing is a 33-acre master planned brownfield redevelopment in Wilmington, Delaware.
Scott C. Scarfone, ASLA, PLA, Founder/Principal at Oasis Design Group, and Mike Purzycki, Mayor of the City of Wilmington, Delaware, will present “Revitalization of the Wilmington Waterfront” at the Pennsylvania-Delaware Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects Annual Meeting April 21 from 8-9:30 a.m.
They will discuss the 20-year revitalization of Justison Landing, a vibrant, urban mixed-use riverfront redevelopment on a former 33-acre brownfield site in Wilmington, Delaware. Oasis Design Group, a landscape architecture, master planning and urban design firm, has been the lead urban designer and landscape architect, for Justison Landing since the project's inception. Oasis has worked with developers, engineers, Riverfront Development Corporation of Delaware and the Delaware Department of Transportation on the redevelopment. The project included new commercial, office and retail spaces; a plaza and park; people-friendly connections to the Christina River; and more than 2.4 miles of new streetscape treatments.
Oasis will also lead a walking tour “Urban Riverfront Revitalization” with Nancy Bergeron, Director at RK&K, April 21 from 2:15-4:30 p.m.
