
International seller of new, late model, and certified pre-owned road and triathlon bikes plans to utilize space to fulfill e-commerce orders and to function as a retail location
BALTIMORE (February 28, 2017) –My Bike Shop, a seller and trader of new and pre-owned triathlon, road, and cyclo-cross bicycles, wheels, and parts, has signed a lease with St. John Properties, Inc.for 5,460 square feet of space at Liberty Exchange, a mixed-use business community situated near the intersection of MD Routes 32 and 26 (Liberty Road) in the Eldersburg section of Carroll County. The company is relocating from the Main Street Sykesville area and intends to utilize the space to fulfill its growing base of e-commerce customers, as well as to function as a retail location for consumers residing within the Mid-Atlanticregion. Liberty Exchange, which currently consists of six office, flex/R&D and retail buildings totaling more than 155,000 square feet of space, represents the first project in Carroll County for the Baltimore-based firm. The business community is located at 5957-5977 Exchange Drive, directly off Liberty Road. Upon completion, Liberty Exchange will be comprised of nine buildings totaling approximately 225,000 square feet of office, flex/R&Dand retail space.
My Bike Shop specializes in high-quality bicycles suitable for triathlon training and racing, road use and cyclo-cross racing, as well as a full range of accessories including wheels, apparel and specialized parts such as handlebars, pedals and gears. They have a diverse selection of certified pre-owned and late model bikes on-hand,as well as demo and new offerings through a growing slate of partnerships with manufacturers.
Founded more than four years ago, My Bike Shop has experienced significant and continued growth on an international level for its niche business and was in need of additional space to house its headquarters, sales and marketing, repair and fulfillment operations. The new Eldersburg location also satisfies the company’s desire to dramatically expand its retail sales division, with an area specifically dedicated to a showroom for the display of available products.

My Bike Shop expects to initially focus on its fulfillment operations at Liberty Exchange beginning in February, with plans to open the retail portion of the space by early April.
“We have a healthy and growing backlog of e-commerce demand which is driven internationally, so our first priority remains to fulfill those orders in a timely fashion,” Richards added. “But, we recognize the value of a retail venue to provide immediate product to consumers, and we are committed to completing this portion of the space as quickly as possible. We believe our location is strategically-located to address the cycling needs of consumers throughout a one hundred-mile radius.”
