Kim O’Brien
Junior Achievement of Central Maryland Inc. (JA), a non-profit organization dedicated to educating young people to succeed in a rapidly changing economy, has appointed Kim O’Brien to its board of directors.
As Claim Field Director for the Capital Region at Allstate Insurance and a member of the Regional Market Operating Committee, O’Brien is responsible for all automobile and property claims operations and over 750 claims professionals in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware and the District of Columbia. O’Brien is well-versed in claims subject matter, which she applies to product, pricing and distribution decision-making.
“Kim has an exceptional reputation in her career as a team-builder and results-oriented leader,” said Jennifer Bodensiek, President and Chief Executive Officer of Junior Achievement of Central Maryland. “Her motivation and leadership skills are a welcome addition to our board.”
O’Brien began her career at Allstate Insurance more than 20 years ago as a Claims Representative. Since then, she has taken on multiple leadership positions and responsibilities at the branch, regional and corporate office, including Market Claim Manager and Senior Administrative Manager.
O’Brien is from Northbrook, Illinois, and graduated from Western Illinois University.
