PANDORA Ice Rink At Baltimore’s Inner Harbor Ends Successful Season

1/17/17

The 2016-17 season of the PANDORA Ice Rink at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor came to a close on Monday, January 16. Throughout the season, which began with an opening ceremony on November 11, the rink attracted close to 19,000 skaters of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels – 1,000 more skaters than last year.

“We are grateful for the continued support of PANDORA and our many partners in helping to bring the rink to the Inner Harbor,” said Laurie Schwartz, president of Waterfront Partnership. “We are also thankful to the many who chose to spend some of their holiday season at the rink.”

The Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore and its partners also provided a variety of special events over the season including Late Night Skate, Inner Harbor Frost Fest, the 3rd annual SkateFest benefiting the Special Olympics of Maryland and Princess Skate.

Notable skaters and groups to take the ice this season included Living Classrooms, Towson University, Thomas Johnson Middle School, the Thomas Johnson Special Education Department, and Under Armour.

The rink, which returned to the top of the Inner Harbor Amphitheater, was made possible through the generous support of PANDORA as well as The City of Baltimore, Ashkenazy Acquisition Corporation, Baltimore City Department of Transportation, Baltimore Development Corporation, The Can Company, Constellation, Exelon, The Next Ice Age, The Pearlstone Family Foundation, T. Rowe Price, Marriott Waterfront, Mindgrub, The Village of Cross Keys, Mahan Rykiel Associates, and Morgan Stanley.
