The Mullan Contracting Company has been awarded the contract to provide construction management services for the new 65,750 square foot Gilpin Manor Elementary School, located at 203 Newark Avenue in Elkton, Maryland. As part of the contract, Mullan Contracting will also demolish the existing school structure in Cecil County before initiating the replacement project.

Featuring a brick veneer exterior, the building will consist of a partial two-story structure with the wing element containing the classrooms. The school will also include a gymnasium, cafeteria and administrative offices. Approximately 500 students are currently enrolled at Gilpin Manor Elementary School, which is located near MD Route 279 (Elkton Road) and MD Route 268 (North Street).

The new building is expected to be delivered in time for the new school year beginning in fall 2018.
