Gov. Hogan Appoints Trio of New Baltimore City Circuit Court Judges

Two attorneys currently serving the state and one serving Baltimore County have been tapped to become judges in Baltimore City Circuit Court.

Gov. Larry Hogan today announced he had selected Charles H. Dorsey III, John S. Nugent and Nennifer B. Schiffer for open vacancies in Clarence Mitchell Jr. Courthouse and Courthouse East. In a statement, Hogan said his picks “have exhibited sound judgement, integrity, and a strong commitment to justice” throughout their careers and congratulated them.

Dorsey is currently a deputy public defender for the State of Maryland. He’s worked in that role since 2009 and has otherwise practiced law in the state for more than two decades. He attended University of Maryland, Baltimore County for his undergrad degree and got his law degree from the University of Baltimore.
