Mark Bonner

Bisnow Media, the “almost never boring” international commercial real estate news and events company, today announced that Mark Bonner has been named Editor-in-Chief and Vice President of Content.

Bonner, the former Managing Editor of International Business Times, will be based out of Bisnow Media’s New York headquarters at 7 World Trade Center and will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Will Friend and Chief Operating Officer Francesco Decamilli. The appointment comes months after the company recapitalized its ownership structure by partnering with The Wicks Group of Companies, a New York private equity firm.

“Bisnow has been the largest and fastest growing commercial real estate news platform in the U.S. for quite some time now and we have continued that growth trajectory year over year,” Friend said. “The time has come for us to invest more heavily into our reader experience and bringing Mark Bonner on to join the team is just the start of that investment process. Mark’s experience at IBT will serve him well as he looks to position Bisnow’s news platform as not just the largest and fastest growing, but the ‘go to’ for all things commercial real estate.”

As Editor-in-Chief, Bonner will lead global editorial operations and will work closely with the editorial team to raise the brand’s visibility, journalistic excellence and authority, while also refining its voice, broadening distribution and ensuring a great experience for readers and viewers across the website’s many touch points including newsletters, video and social media.

"I am thrilled to be taking the lead at Bisnow during this exciting time in its development as a global news organization,” Bonner said. “Bisnow is at the forefront of international commercial real estate news and events — and there are so many exciting opportunities to grow the brand across all platforms. I can’t wait to get started.”

Bonner joins Bisnow from International Business Times where he spent the last two years overseeing global editorial operations, managing day-to-day coverage, special projects and

social media. He worked directly with IBT's bureaus in Asia, Europe and the Middle East and led the publication to become one of the 100 most visited websites in the world. He helped build an award-winning news team whose work was recognized with dozens of prestigious journalism prizes, including a Gerald Loeb Award and multiple honors at the Society of American Business Editors and Writers (SABEW).
