Eager Park Celebrates Another Milestone With Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Official Opening 1812 Ashland Avenue

Project Brings 167,000 Square Feet of Innovation and Office Space Online

What:

  • Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, East Baltimore Development, Inc. (EBDI), Forest City- New East Baltimore Partnership and Johns Hopkins University and Hospital Leaders will be joined by local, state and U.S. government officials to recognize another milestone in the Eager Park Development Plan as they celebrate the finalization of construction and the official opening of 1812 Ashland Avenue with a Ribbon Cutting.
  • Less than two (2) years after its ground breaking, 1812 Ashland Avenue stands seven (7) stories tall, offering 164,000 Square feet of laboratory/ office space and is on track to become an innovation hub for emerging and rapidly growing life science companies.


In the 1st Quarter of 2017, 1812 Ashland will welcome the newly designed prototype Starbucks Opportunity Cafe that will prepare hundreds of areas residents for employment. The building will also house an expanded version of JHU’s successful Fast Forward East, an Innovation Hub. Its operation in 1812 will provide 30,000 sq. ft. total with 8,000 square feet of office and co-working space. The property will offer additional opportunities for leasing up to 40,000 square feet of lab and office space available to the marketplace to support other such expanding enterprises as well as start-up ventures.
