I think we are already feeling the effects of a Donald Trump presidency in the bond market. The long-term US Treasury ETF (NYSEARCA:IEF) tells the story about how the bond market woke up after the "upset" election.

As you can see above, long-term treasuries have nose-dived, and that is a microcosm for bonds and other securities which are seen as like investments. Real Estate Investment Trusts, or REITs, are, for better are worse, still considered bond-like investments.
