The building that will house the new Whole Foods location in Harbor East is going up.
The Bozzuto Group and dignitaries formally broke ground on the building at the end of Central Ave. on Friday. According to the Baltimore Business Journal, the building is named Liberty Harbor East, after the late John Paterakis’ sister, Liberty Tsakalos. Paterakis, who founded H&S Bakery and later became Harbor earlier this month.
Whole Foods is set to relocate from its current location a couple of blocks away once the building is ready. It won’t be the only feature, as the building is 22 stories tall.
