Cushman & Wakefield Vice Chairman Paul Collins, Vice Chairman Bill Collins, Associate Vice President Shaun Weinberg, Executive Managing Director Drew Flood, Senior DirectorMark Wooters, Marketing Director Danielle Keute, Marketing Manager Tanya Graves, Senior Graphic Designer Carly Rebeiz and Marketing Coordinator Hannah Hoffman were recognized as industry leaders at the 14th annual NAIOP DC/MD Awards of Excellence Gala at the Trump International Hotel last week.

Cushman & Wakefield’s team won in two categories:
Collins, Collins, Flood, and Weinberg won the Best Real Estate Transaction: Sale or Re-capitalization - Over $25 million for the Apex Building, a 162,614-square-foot, Class A office building three blocks from the Bethesda, MD, Metro station. Challenges faced in this deal included identifying a comparable relocation option for the client, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), and negotiations with multiple tenants, the county and MTA. Cushman & Wakefield represented ASHP in the over $100 million sale of the building to Carr Properties.
Wooters, Keute, Graves, Rebeiz, and Hoffman won Best Project Marketing for The Wharf. Beginning with digital materials, the team developed a campaign that emphasized a ‘sense of space’ and then a ‘sense of place’ that established the yet-to-be-built project as a desirable option.
The NAIOP DC/MD Awards of Excellence honor outstanding achievement in commercial and industrial real estate. The gala is a black-tie event and has 14 award categories spanning everything from interior design to sustainability.
