Approximately 35 NAIOP Maryland Developing Leaders (professionals 35 years of age or less) spent last Friday afternoon in support of Civic Works and AmeriCorps to help improve a neighborhood park on Eager Street in East Baltimore. The overall objectives of the project was to enhance the view that travelers see of this area from the train while moving through Baltimore, while also creating a new green space for local residents. Working through steamy weather, the Developing Leaders enjoyed pizza donated from Merritt Properties and cold drinks from AMK Partners. BrightView provided pruning sheers and will supply plants and landscaping in support of the activity. "Our group had a tremendous experience working with Civic Works last year," explained Kate Jordan, Chair of NAIOP Maryland Developing Leaders. "They are consistently passionate and choose worthwhile projects that benefit areas of the City in need of assistance.
