H&S Bakery Digs in on Fells Point Expansion

The giant baking operation that makes Fells Point smell like fresh bread is about to get even bigger.

H&S Bakery recently began construction on a $15 million expansion to its building at 623 S. Caroline St. The project will add 25,000 sq. ft. of space for packaging and shipping. The company also added that the design includes a brick facade and large windows that are designed to blend in with the surrounding historic architecture in Fells Point.

“We’ve made every effort to ensure that the final product not only contains cutting edge industry technology and improvements to ensure the longtime viability of the bakery, but that it is an aesthetic complement to the neighborhood’s existing architecture and rich history,” H&S Bakery’s Bill Paterakis said in a statement.
