Womble Carlyle’s Charm City Office Relocates to Transamerica Building

Womble Carlyle confirmed its long-term commitment to Baltimore by moving to new space in the Transamerica Building.

Womble Carlyle’s new location puts the firm in the center of Baltimore’s commercial district. The Transamerica Building is located near the Baltimore Convention Center, Port of Baltimore, numerous hotels, retail and restaurants in Harbor East, Fells Point, Federal Hill and Canton. The 40-story Transamerica Building is Baltimore’s tallest tower. Womble Carlyle will occupy the entire 26th floor.

 “Womble Carlyle has been in downtown Baltimore for more than nine years, and this move assures that we will remain a key player—and great neighbor—in downtown,” said David Hamilton, Managing Partner of Womble Carlyle’s Baltimore office.

Womble Carlyle’s Baltimore office includes a diverse range of practices, including antitrust and business litigation, capital markets and financing, and transactional and trial work for intellectual property clients a strong corporate practice, with a particular focus on tech and innovation.

“The M&A and transactions market definitely has picked up post-recession, and we believe we are strategically positioned to serve growing companies,” Hamilton said.

Hamilton also noted that both the office move and the firm’s recent global alliance with U.K. firm Bond Dickinson are part of a larger firm initiative of growth and client service.
