Gillis Gilkerson, one of the most stable and trusted general contracting and construction management firms on Delmarva, announced the ground breaking for a new multi-purpose recreational building for Spence Baptist Church in Snow Hill, Maryland. The 7,600 square foot building will be built by the Gillis Gilkerson team on church property at 4824 Paw Paw Creek Road, Snow Hill, MD

The one-story fellowship facility will include a multipurpose banquet hall, a youth game room, kitchen, storage and amenities. The facility will be a pre-engineered steel frame building system with a concrete foundation and reinforced monolithic floor slab. The project will include a new parking lot, landscaping and storm water management system.
“The Gillis Gilkerson team has been instrumental in helping our congregation reach this milestone,” said Bob Shockley, Spence Baptist Church building committee member. “Our vision is finally becoming a reality. We are very excited about the offerings and opportunities this project will bring our church community and the youth of our congregation.”
According to Project Manager, Tyler Barnes, weather permitting, the project is scheduled for completion by the first quarter of 2017.
