Lantian Development, LLC, a full-service real estate investment and development company headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, has announced the appointment of Robert J. Elliott, Jr. (Bob) as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He was formerly Director of Development for Washington REIT.

Mr. Elliott will play a significant role in a wide spectrum of functions for Lantian Development including the identification and evaluation of acquisitions, oversight of day-day business operations and leadership of the company’s development and construction activities, including all zoning and entitlement strategy for Lantian’s significant portfolio.

Mr. Elliott brings more than twenty-three years of diversified real estate investment, development and construction experience to Lantian Development, including previously holding leadership positions with Clark Enterprises and The JBG Companies. Most recently, as Director of Development for Washington REIT, he oversaw all development activities for the company’s portfolio of commercial office, multifamily and retail properties. Over the past ten years, Mr. Elliott has been responsible for the development of more than two million square feet of commercial, multifamily and mixed-use development in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, with a value exceeding $1 billion.

Mr. Elliott earned a Bachelor of Arts (Architecture) and a Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University, and a Master in Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Elliott is a LEED Accredited Professional and currently resides in Rockville, MD.
