WPM Real Estate Management, one of the premier property management organizations serving the Mid-Atlantic region, is pleased to announce the promotion of Michelle Thompson to Regional Property Manager. In her new role, Thompson will manage a diverse residential portfolio, including seven communities totaling more than 800 units. She will work directly with the President of WPM’s Multifamily Real Estate division and the properties’ on-site teams to maintain and enhance investor property value as well as ensure positive resident experiences.

“Time and again Michelle has proven her ability to successfully manage multifamily communities – from engaging with residents during lease-up to improving the value of a property through thoughtful and proactive management practices,” notes Len Frenkil, President of WPM’s Multifamily Real Estate division. “Michelle has an energy about her that is contagious and motivates others,” explains Frenkil. “She’s committed to strengthening her own expertise, while encouraging the same in others. Michelle continues to add value for our clients and we’re happy to be promoting her to a regional property manager position within WPM.”

Thompson joined WPM Real Estate Management in 2004. She holds designations as a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) and Certified Apartment Portfolio Specialist (CAPS) from the National Apartment Association. Additionally, she is on track to complete her Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation next year. An active member of the Maryland Multi-Housing Association (MMHA), Thompson serves on a number of committees and is an instructor and judge for the NALP Leasing designation through MMHA. Most recently, she was the recipient of the “Shining Star” of the year award given by MMHA for her efforts and dedication to the association. Thompson also serves as a member of WPM’s Maintenance Committee. She resides in Eastern Baltimore County with her fiancé, Chris, and her two sons.
