CBRE Capital Markets' National Senior Housing Group Co-Leader Has Advised on Placement of More Than $6.2 Billion in Senior Housing Debt Capital in 10-Year Career; Becomes Youngest CBRE VC

CBRE Group, Inc. announced today that Aron Will, co-leader of CBRE Capital Markets’ National Senior Housing team, has been promoted to vice chairman. A 10-year industry veteran, Mr. Will has participated in the financing of more than $6.2 billion in senior housing debt in his career, becoming CBRE’s youngest vice chairman to date.

Mr. Will currently co-heads the National Senior Housing Debt & Structured Finance practice for CBRE Capital Markets, which specializes in the capitalization of independent living, assisted living, Alzheimer’s Care and skilled nursing communities nationwide. Mr. Will was instrumental in launching this platform for the firm in the late 2000s.

Mr. Will is the recognized market leader whose practice has been focused on the institutional segment of the market; working closely with many of the prevalent private equity investors and REITs. He is member of CBRE’s Colbert Coldwell Circle (top 1% nationally) and was a top 20 producer companywide in 2015. Mr. Will and his team have been recognized as one of the Top 2 senior housing originators in the country from 2010 through 2015. In 2015, the team closed $1.53 billion in debt originations across 72 assets. Mr. Will has also been recognized as a Heavy Hitter by the Houston Business Journal.

Mr. Will serves currently serves as an Executive Board Member of American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA). He is also a member on the Senior Housing Council for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and is on the Strategic Mission Fulfillment committee for the National Investment Center for Senior Housing and Care Industry (NIC).

Mr. Will received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Southern Methodist University, where he graduated as a Distinguished BBA Scholar.

• The Fountains Portfolio – $410 million Freddie Mac loan secured by 15 CCRCs nationwide

• The Ranger Portfolio – $350 million Freddie Mac loan secured by 36 assisted living communities nationwide

• Belmont Village Thousand Oaks and Belmont Village Scottsdale- $80 million life company loan placement for two high-quality assisted living/memory care communities in California and Arizona

• The MorningStar Portfolio - $53 million bank loan placement for three assisted living communities in Colorado

• The Village at River Oaks - $49.7 million construction loan placement for a high-quality rental CCRC in Texas
