Leases signed with ABC Supply and Vend Central at sixteen-building, 800,000 square foot business community

St. John Properties, Inc. has signed leases with two companies at Caton Research Center, a sixteen-building business community containing approximately 800,000 square feet of R&D, flex/office and bulk warehouse space, and located near the intersection of the Baltimore Beltway (Interstate 695) and Interstate 95 in Baltimore County. Bill Jautze of St. John Properties represented the landlord in both transactions.

Vend Central, Inc. signed a lease for approximately 29,000 square feet of space at 1625 Knecht Avenue, a single-story, 47,000 square foot bulk warehouse building. Founded in 1996, the company is a wholesaler of food and drink vending machines and products including frozen and fresh pastries, candy, snacks and cookies, as well as a healthier choices brand that features fruit snacks, trail mix, popcorn and pretzels. The company was previously located in an adjacent space within the business community.

ABC Supply Company signed a lease for over 28,000 square feet of additional space at 3900 Vero Road, a single-story, 192,000 square foot bulk warehouse building. The company is recognized as the largest wholesale distributor of roofing in the United States and is among the largest companies in the country distributing siding, windows and other exterior building products and tools. ABC Supply operates more than 600 locations around the country.

Caton Research Center is positioned approximately five miles from downtown Baltimore City; seven miles from Baltimore-Washington International Airport; 15 miles from Columbia and 35 miles from Washington, D.C.

“ABC Supply and Vend Central, which both service customers across a large geographic radius, required a real estate location with immediate access to a regional highway system,” stated Richard Williamson, Senior Vice President, Leasing for St. John Properties. “Caton Research Center provides these users with expansive spaces, free parking, loading docks and the strategic location they need to service their expanding customer base.”

St. John Properties, Inc., founded in 1971, has developed and owns more than 17 million square feet of R&D/flex, office, retail and warehouse space in Maryland, Colorado, Louisiana, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. For more information about the company, visit www.sjpi.com.
