St. John Properties Signs Three New Leases At The Government And Technology Enterprise (The GATE)

7/6/16

Leases signed at 6165 and 6245 Guardian Gateway within Aberdeen Proving Ground in Harford County

St. John Properties, Inc. has signed three new leases at The Government and Technology Enterprise (The GATE), a 416-acre state-of-the-art office and technology business park located immediately within Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) in Harford County, Maryland. Matt Lenihan, Assistant Vice President, Leasing for St. John Properties represented the landlord in each of the separate transactions.

Engineering Solutions and Products, LLC, a defense contractor with locations worldwide and PreTalen, Ltd., a professional engineering and integration firm, signed a lease at 6245 Guardian Gateway, a single-story 31,280 square foot office building. Leidos, a defense contracting firm headquartered in Northern Virginia, signed a lease at 6165 Guardian Gateway, a single-story 51,120 square foot R&D flex/office building.

The GATE is located within immediate proximity to the 2.4 million square foot Command, Control, Computer, Communication, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Command operations center. The business community, which provides the only 24/7 unrestricted entrance to APG, has the capacity to support nearly three million square feet of Class “A” multi-story and single-story space, as well as research and development (R&D) flex/office space.

“With its unparalleled position within Aberdeen Proving Ground, The GATE has a competitive advantage over the competition and remains the location of choice among businesses and defense contractors that need immediate access to their customers,” stated Richard Williamson, Senior Vice President, Leasing for St. John Properties. “We continue to experience extremely strong leasing activity among all product types in this business community.”

The GATE provides tenants a direct connection to APG’s secure hardwired IT/communications network and is located less than five miles from Interstate 95, 20 miles from the Baltimore Beltway and 40 miles from BWI Airport.

St. John Properties, Inc., founded in 1971, has developed and owns more than 17 million square feet of R&D/flex, office, retail and warehouse space in Maryland, Colorado, Louisiana, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. For more information about the company, visit www.sjpi.com.
