
Chris Fortune
The TranZed Alliance, a nonprofit organization serving children and families, named Chris Fortune to its board of directors. Fortune, a financial analyst and vice president for T. Rowe Price, has been a business leader for more than 15 years.
At T. Rowe Price, Fortune covers the regional and community bank stocks and serves as an investment officer for select mutual funds. He has been quoted for his expertise in financial publications including Barron’s, Businessweek and SmartMoney.
Prior to working at T. Rowe Price, Fortune was a technical manager for Ciena Corp. He also co-founded and was vice president of software development for wireless startup AppReach Inc. Previously, Fortune was a senior sales engineer and business consultant for USinternetworking and a technical lead and software engineer for ARINC.
Fortune holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and an MBA in finance and accounting from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was the head fellow and head trader for the Wharton Investment Management Fund. He earned bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering at Dartmouth College and physics at Colby College.
He lives in Ellicott City with his wife and three kids.
