To celebrate the grand opening of its newest branch, Hamilton Bank will host a free “barnyard picnic” event on Saturday, June 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
For more than 100 years, Hamilton Bank has been a pillar in many communities in the Baltimore area, and on June 4 will expand into one of Baltimore's oldest neighborhoods with the opening of its new Pigtown branch located at 764 Washington Boulevard.
Guests at the grand opening event will be treated to complimentary hot dogs, hamburgers, picnic salads, popcorn, cotton candy and soft drinks from Breaking Bread and sweets from Tasty Creations Bakery. The event will also feature a DJ, balloon artist, face painting, raffles and games including cornhole and a goldfish toss. The Hamilton Bank mascot "Hammy" will be on hand for photo opportunities with his new friend "Abraham," the mascot of the Citizens of Pigtown Association.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new branch will take place at 11:45 A.M. Local dignitaries including Maryland State Delegate Antonio Hayes, Baltimore City Council President Jack Young and a representative from Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake’s office are expected to be in attendance.
The event is totally free and open to the public.
