Greenberg Gibbons Appoints Eric DeVito to Board of Directors

Greenberg Gibbons announced today that Eric DeVito has been appointed to its board of directors. DeVito, who has served as the company’s General Counsel since 2018, provides strategic guidance and manages the company’s legal matters for its growing portfolio of over 20 properties, including The Shops at Kenilworth, Waugh Chapel Towne Centre, and the $350 million Towson Row development.

“Eric will continue to play a valuable role on our leadership team and now as a board member, particularly as we look to expand our footprint in the Mid-Atlantic region and take on new, large-scale developments and strategic partnerships,” said Brian Gibbons, Chairman and CEO of Greenberg Gibbons. “He is a tremendous asset to our firm.”

DeVito has more than two decades of experience practicing real estate law. Prior to joining Greenberg Gibbons, he served as Principal for Stone Mattheis Xenopoulos & Brew, PC, law firm in Washington, D.C., where he specialized in real estate development and land use law. DeVito also previously served as Vice President and General Counsel for Ribera Development, LLC, a real estate development company in Annapolis, Maryland.

DeVito is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia bars. He received an undergraduate degree in accounting from The Ohio State University and then, his law degree from the University of Maryland. As a volunteer, DeVito serves on the Board of Directors for the Monarch Academy Public Charter School, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Anne Arundel County Economic Development Corporation, and has previously participated on numerous boards and commissions in the advancement of government practices and land use.
