BBB of Greater Maryland is proud to welcome a new group of business leaders to its Board of Directors. We asked our community of Accredited Businesses to apply to serve as advocates and advisers for their peers. Recruitment garnered 17 applications, and we unanimously approved eight new members. BBB’s mission to build an ethical marketplace depends on strong and diverse leadership, and these new members share in BBB’s vision.

“Board members are vital to the success of our organization,” said Angie Barnett, president and CEO of BBB Serving Greater Maryland. “The 2020 additions to our Board of Directors bring industry expertise and unique perspectives. Their skills will strengthen BBB’s ability to identify challenges and provide resources that businesses need as they navigate their pandemic recovery.”

The newly appointed members are:

  • Kenneth Lockie, Senior Manager of Talent Management and Organizational Development - Baltimore Gas and Electric Company
  • Chad Seifert, Shareholder - KatzAbosch
  • Michelle Coates, Senior Vice President and Treasury Sales Manager - Howard Bank
  • Theresa McCoy, Chief Executive Officer - American Community Management, Inc.
  • Gina Ramsey, Owner and President - Pink Dog Digital
  • Debra Keller-Greene, Chief Executive Officer - Keller Professional Services, Inc.
  • Darryl McCallum, Partner - Shawe Rosenthal LLP
  • Mark Ring, Chief Executive Officer, Managing Partner and Founding Partner - Jacob William Advisory

BBB also congratulates W. Bruce Quackenbush, Jr., vice president and co-owner of American Contracting Services, Inc. on his new role as board chair. His leadership will ensure BBB delivers relevant programs and services to the Maryland business community. He takes over following the term expiration of Arlene Thayer, executive vice president and chief operating officer of KatzAbosch. During her two years as chair, she has overseen BBB’s efforts to achieve financial stability and stimulate growth.

Board members are voluntary representatives from the Maryland community of Accredited Businesses. They are committed to upholding the core values of BBB, operating in accordance with BBB’s Code of Business Practices. Board members serve one three year term and are eligible to renew for a second term.

BBB helps people find businesses, brands and charities they can trust. In 2019, people turned to BBB more than 183 million times for BBB Business Profiles on nearly 5.8 million businesses and Charity Reports on 11,000 charities, all available for free at BBB.org
