TCP Venture Capital’s Propel Baltimore Fund II Invests in Cerebro Capital

6/1/20

TCP Venture Capital's Propel Baltimore Fund II is pleased to announce its investment in Cerebro Capital, a company modernizing commercial loan management by optimizing data on the private debt capital markets for middle market borrowers. They handle all steps in the corporate loan cycle from identifying new lenders to monitoring loan compliance to refinancing. They are lead by Founder and CEO Matthew Bjonerud and CTO Kevin Dieter. Matt Bjonerud brings extensive knowledge of corporate finance with experience on the corporate finance team at Laureate Education, a multibillion dollar company, and from the PNC Corporate Banking Group as a VP. Kevin Dieter, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, has over 25 years of experience, most recently as the CTO of ExpertConnect, a software program that also operates in the financial services industry.

Chris College, Managing Partner at TCP Venture Capital remarked, "The Cerebro Capital team brings technology, operations experience and a customer service emphasis to a fragmented industry that has not focused on improving the small business loan experience. We believe that Matt Bjonerud and the Cerebro team will revolutionize how small business loans are acquired, monitored and refinanced."
