WesBanco Names Vitamin as a Digital Agency Partner

3/3/20

Vitamin®, a leading digital-first integrated marketing agency, has been selected by WesBanco, Inc. ("WesBanco"), a diversified, multi-state bank holding company, as the institution's newest digital marketing partner. Vitamin will provide ongoing support for content generation, CRM integration, ADA compliance, and a range of digital-first marketing initiatives for WesBanco's affiliate, WesBanco Bank, Inc. The partnership began during the fourth quarter of 2019 with the design, development, and implementation of a new website that debuted in January 2020 - a turnaround of less than three months. Vitamin's industry expertise will be invaluable for WesBanco, as the 150 year old financial services company enters the mid-Atlantic region following its merger with Old Line Bancshares, Inc., a bank holding company headquartered in Bowie, Md.

Founded in 1870, WesBanco is a diversified and balanced financial services institution that delivers large bank capabilities with a community bank feel. WesBanco's customer-centric service culture is focused on growing long-term relationships by pledging to serve all personal and business customer needs. In February 2020, WesBanco was ranked #7 on Forbes magazine's list of "Best Banks in America", the tenth year it made the prestigious ranking, based on 10 metrics such as growth, credit quality, and profitability. This impressive accolade follows being named to Forbes' inaugural ranking of the "World's Best Banks" in 2019, which was determined by customer satisfaction and consumer feedback – coming in at #7 in the United States.

"Our website was no longer reflective of the level of sophistication upon which we pride ourselves," said Eric Giesecke, Chief Marketing Officer for WesBanco. "Vitamin was able to quickly restructure the way we communicate with our varied audiences online, and better prepare us to confidently share our brand with a new geography. The website is a vital digital touchpoint for current and potential customers, and Vitamin was able to make that critical first impression one that truly reflects who we are today."

Going forward, Vitamin will support multiple digital initiatives for WesBanco to drive business growth across the mid-Atlantic, including lead generation, business marketing, and ongoing website maintenance, while working in conjunction with the bank's Agency of Record (AOR), Pittsburgh-based Brunner.

As WesBanco has gained market share across six states, its dedication to each community in which it operates is its hallmark, and Vitamin is proud to help introduce the bank in the agency's home state of Maryland.

"WesBanco's reputation as a community partner is well known in every market they've entered," says Vitamin President and CEO Amanda Karfakis. "Being a steadfast neighbor and building lasting relationships with people is why they've received so many national accolades. As a mid-Atlantic-based business ourselves, we're excited to help introduce WesBanco to our home base and support their growth in communities across the region."
