Three Baker Donelson attorneys have been named "IP Stars" in the 2019 edition of Managing Intellectual Property's IP Handbook, an annual publication recognizing leading law firms and lawyers in intellectual property.

E. Scott Johnson, a shareholder in Baker Donelson's Baltimore office, has been recognized in the area of trademark law in the 2019IP Handbook. He has a diverse legal practice which includes licensing, trademark, copyright, technology, Internet, entertainment and arts and media law matters. Mr. Johnson counsels individuals, companies, non-profit organizations and educational institutions on a wide range of intellectual property matters. He has been recognized by national and local legal and business publications for his intellectual property work, is a leader in numerous community organizations dedicated to film, music and the arts, and has been a voting member of The Recording Academy since 1985. He also serves as immediate past-chair of the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation.

The "IP Stars" list is based on extensive research conducted by a team compiling market feedback and independent information. Individuals included on the list are practitioners with long-established practices and clients in the industry.

The IP Handbook also listed Baker Donelson as "recommended" in the state of Maryland for its intellectual property work.
