The Enoch Pratt Free Library is pleased to announce victory in the 2017 Book Bowl over the Houston Public Library. In just 28 hours, online donations to the Pratt Library rose to more than $53,000, a Book Bowl record. The fundraising competition began at kickoff of the Ravens/Texans game and ended at midnight on Giving Tuesday.
“We’re so happy the Ravens were able to win on the field, and the Pratt got a victory off the field. Thank you to the more than 150 donors here in Baltimore who gave so generously” says Pratt Library President & CEO Heidi Daniel. “This is really a win-win for both the Pratt and the Houston Public Library.”
This is the third time the Pratt Library has challenged a fellow library to the Book Bowl fundraising competition on Giving Tuesday. Private funding helps support innovative programming for all ages across the Pratt Library’s 22 locations.
