Mina Parr, Gallery Director for Merritt Gallery; Flora Kanter, Quarry Springs resident and artist and Kami Kraft, Vice President of The Mayhood Company were among the attendees of The Quarry Springs estate condominium community “Gallery Art Show and Open House. ” The project, presently comprised of fifty residential units ranging from 2,200 to 4,500 square feet of space, is located at 8101 River Road in the Bethesda section of Montgomery County.

An estimated fifty pieces of artwork were displayed including abstracts; watercolors; portraits; contemporary, historically-relevant and modern pieces, as well as non-traditional mediums. A number of local artists were represented including Flora Kanter, Jim Maio, Ariel Messeca, Sandra Sugar, Sergio Pena and Lisa Tureson. Different artists from The Adah Rose Gallery in Kensington and Merritt Gallery in Chevy Chase also had expressions on display.

Quarry Springs is configured as a gated community with 24-hour access security monitoring, valet parking and a concierge service that provides personal assistance services, event planning, travel arrangements and leisure and entertainment reservations. The community is adjacent to Congressional Country Club and Burning Tree Club, and is located less than one mile from the Capital Beltway and approximately ten miles from Washington, D.C.
