Former Raven Ed Reed said losing a player as talented as All-Pro guard Marshal Yanda is as devastating to the Ravens as an injury to quarterback Joe Flacco would be.
"That's one guy I know I wouldn't want to lose when I played," Reed said of Yanda in an interview with Glenn Clark Radio Sept. 18. "That hurts you just as much as Joe [Flacco] going down."
Yanda, playing in his 11th NFL season, suffered a fractured left ankle during the Ravens' 24-10 win against the Cleveland Browns Sept. 17.
However, while losing Yanda leaves a significant void on the offensive line, Reed said he has no doubt the Ravens (2-0) can overcome the loss of one of their central leaders.
