The Institute of Notre Dame basketball team has been excelling in recent weeks.
Since Dec. 14, IND has won 11 of its past 12 games. The team's lone loss during that stretch came against Howard High School of Technology (Del.) Dec. 30, and since that loss, IND has rattled off seven straight victories.
The hot streak has the Penguins in good shape, as they prepare for the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland "B" conference playoffs. The team is 11-0 in conference play and holds a 13-4 record overall.
"We've trusted in each other. Sometimes you just have to believe in each other -- that your teammate will be in the spot she is supposed to be in at the right time," third-year head coach Robert DuBose said. "I truly believe that this group is very tight both on and off the court, which helps tremendously."
