Fans hoping to see another MLB All-Star Game in Baltimore will have to wait. Reports have circulated that Cleveland's Progressive Field will host the 2019 game. The official announcement will be made Jan. 27.
The Orioles made a major push for the 2016 All-Star Game, which was later awarded to San Diego. Because the team is embroiled in a long-standing dispute with Major League Baseball and the Washington Nationals over MASN television money, it's been suggested Baltimore has been put on extended hold until that's resolved.
Washington was awarded the 2018 game, and that will be the fourth straight time a National League city will host the game. Cincinnati was the site in 2015, and it's at Miami's Marlins Park this year.
