Ravens inside linebacker Zachary Orr, one of the core young payers around which a statistically good defense was being built, is retiring due to serious neck and shoulder injuries, Orr announced at a news conference Jan. 20.
Another undrafted player, Patrick Onwuasor, started for Orr during the season finale at Cincinnati, and he will be in the mix to be a starter at that position, along with versatile inside-outside linebacker Albert McClellan, and a pair of second-year players such as Lamar Louis and last year's second-round pick, Kamalei Correa, who was converted from an outside position.
The Ravens, with little salary cap room to work with, could supplement that corps with a draft pick or try to find veteran help in free agency.
