Injury-Marred Navy Ready To Tackle Army In 117th Meeting

Navy quarterback Zach Abey has just one week to prepare for the biggest game of his life.

The sophomore was forced into action when Will Worth suffered a season-ending foot injury during the American Athletic Conference championship game against Temple Dec. 3. As a result, Abey will make his first career start against Army at M&T Bank Stadium Dec. 10.

The Midshipmen have won 14 consecutive games against their archrival, and they plan to put their young quarterback in a position to succeed.

"Obviously, you're going to have to tweak the playbook for what he does," Navy head coach Ken Niumatalolo said. "But he's been running the second huddle all season, so he knows what we do. We've got to do what makes us successful, but we've got to also play to his strengths."
