Terps To Face Boston College In Quick Lane Bowl

The University of Maryland football team will play Boston College in the Quick Lane Bowl at Detroit’s Ford Field Dec. 26 at 2:30 p.m., the school and bowl announced Dec. 4. The game will be televised on ESPN.

"We are excited to be selected to play in the Quick Lane Bowl," Terps head coach DJ Durkin said in a press release. "Returning to the postseason is a big step in the upward trend of our program. I'm thrilled that our student-athletes, especially our seniors, will have the chance to play at Ford Field in Detroit and experience all of the special events that come with bowl week."

Maryland's last appearance in a bowl game came in 2014 in what is now known as the Fight Hunger Bowl. The 45-21 loss to Stanford capped off a 7-6 season under former head coach Randy Edsall. The Terps' last win in a bowl game came in the 2010 Military Bowl, which was Ralph Friedgen's last game as Maryland's head coach. The Terps beat East Carolina, 51-20.
