Penalties, Absences Cost Ravens In 27-17 Loss In Dallas

The Ravens have been so inconsistent this season, but they couldn't afford to be that way against the team with the league's best record.

But that's exactly what they were.

Another early Baltimore lead dissolved in a flurry of penalties and poor execution as the host Dallas Cowboys rallied for a 27-17 win over the Ravens Nov. 20. The result ended the Ravens’ two-game winning streak and dropped them to 5-5 with six regular-season games remaining.

The Ravens still lead the AFC North Division by virtue of a head-to-head tiebreaker over the Pittsburgh Steelers, who improved to 5-5 with a win at Cleveland. But it appears that only the division winner will make the playoffs, a departure from recent seasons.
