After a career season in 2015, Ravens defensive lineman Lawrence Guy is again contributing to a stellar unit in 2016. After tallying just one sack through his first three seasons in the NFL combined, Guy has totaled 5.5 throughout the course of the last season and a half.
So here's the stupid cliché thing I legally have to do as a hack sportswriter, where I say, "You might say Guy is playing 'like a pit bull,' which is ironic considering he draws such inspiration off the field from one."
(I'm so sorry. When you take the job, you agree to make eye-rolling analogies and squeeze pop culture references into double coverage. Which reminds me, have you noticed how still players seem to lie on the field after they get hit by Guy? It's like they're participating in the Mannequin Challenge.)
