The University of Maryland men's basketball team made a significant recruiting splash for the 2017 season Nov. 2 after senior four-star Mount St. Joseph guard Darryl Morsell announced his commitment to play for the Terps.
Morsell, the fifth-best combo guard in the country and No. 3 recruit in Maryland, according to the recruiting website 247Sports.com, chose Maryland instead of Notre Dame.
"I had an in-home with [Maryland head] coach [Mark] Turgeon last week, and we just really had a good sit-down conversation," Morsell said on Glenn Clark Radio Nov. 7. "And over the weekend, I talked with my family, and that's when I just knew that was the right place for me."
