Jim Fassel Shares Insight Into Ravens' Coordinator Change

Marty Mornhinweg's first two games as the Baltimore Ravens' offensive coordinator failed to halt the team's losing streak, as the Ravens lost to the New York Giants, 27-23, Oct. 16 and New York Jets, 24-16, Oct. 22 to drop to 3-4 on the season. Despite totaling 645 yards of total offense under Mornhinweg, the team has only averaged 19.5 points during those two games.

Former New York Giants head coach Jim Fassel, who also served as Baltimore's offensive coordinator from 2004-06, said he expects current head coach John Harbaugh was very involved in the decision to move on from former offensive coordinator Marc Trestman.

"I'm sure John Harbaugh had a discussion with the next guy he was going to promote as the offensive coordinator," Fassel said during an interview on Glenn Clark Radio Oct. 18. "I don't think you make a move until you know what your second move is going to be."
