Buck Showalter isn't someone I disagree with often.
Sure, he probably should have pulled starter Wade Miley a little sooner during the Orioles' loss to the Yankees Oct. 1. And some would argue that during the course of this season, the Orioles' manager has had just a couple more questionable decisions than usual. But this is Buck Showalter we're talking about. He hasn't just turned water into wine since arriving in Baltimore -- he's taken about a dome's worth of what they have over at the Back River Wastewater Treatment Plant and turned it into Silver Oak. Jesus blushes when he sees the work Buck Showalter has done.
Yet I can't help but wonder if Showalter isn't showing a bit too much loyalty to one of his guys with his decision to start Chris Tillman instead of Ubaldo Jimenez in the American League Wild Card Game against the Toronto Blue Jays Oct. 4.
